This successful, rapidly expanding organisation based in the heart of East Kent is creating an additional role of Financial Controller within its Finance function.

This role is responsible for the control and co-ordination of accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, for improving accounting systems and procedures, improving the timeliness and accuracy of reporting, and overseeing all tax and regulatory reporting and compliance issues.
Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a small team you will lead the following:

-oversee the preparation, collation, and distribution of monthly management accounts to deadlines
-provide insight into key expense, balance sheet and cash flow variances
-continually develop efficiencies for the improvement of the timeliness of management reporting and analysis
-oversee the outsourced payroll function
-coordinate the preparation and submission of the year end reporting pack to group and preparation of year end statutory accounts
-liaise with the external auditors, providing information as required, in order to facilitate the production of unadjusted accounts and an unqualified audit report
-ensure all reporting requirements are fulfilled, submissions are accurate and payments are made by the correct date, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
-oversee the completion of monthly VAT, EC Sales Listings and Intrastat reports
-provide information to external advisors for the preparation of annual Corporation tax computations, and review and approval of such before submission to tax authorities.
-corporation tax calculations and payments
-manage and report on cash flows, and cash flow forecasts, throughout the business and manage the foreign exchange requirements of the business.

You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who is able to drive efficiencies within a constantly changing and expanding business.
