My client is an innovative and exciting restaurant chain based in central London. The company are seeking an industry experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead their finance function. The company have 6 luxury restaurants across London and have recently acquired part of a world famous fast food franchise.

The CFO will have full charge of the finance function, working closely with the board. Aside from running the day to day finance of the company, the CFO will play a key part in implementing commercial strategy and driving growth across all areas of the company. The successful candidate will be fully ACA qualified and will have restaurant or hospitality experience

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating mid and long-term financial plans to ensure the company hits its strategic milestones
  • Taking charge of the full finance function and leading the finance team
  • Work with the CEO on the strategic vision including forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships
  • Improving and maintaining first class systems and controls
  • Business partnering closely with the COO and other non finance teams to ensure growth across all areas
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal activities for the organisation including revenue/expense and balance sheet reports
  • Review and monitoring of Group tax position, calculations and filings
  • Overseeing all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants
  • Monitor banking activities of the organisation
  • Oversee the production of monthly reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA would be advantageous
  • Must have extensive experience in leading and developing finance functions
  • Previous restaurant/hospitality experience is highly desirable
  • Strong technical accounting skills are highly desirable
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Previous experience of managing and developing staff
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent Excel skills
