An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Analyst for this Global Organisation based in Horsham. The suitable candidate will provide FP&A support to the Senior Financial Controller and the work will relate to finance planning and analysis, support the future system changes (SAP), as well as acting as a key communication point for the business unit. Duties will include: • Performing actual, forecast and budget activities for the business unit. • Drives accounting processes and procedures relating to project accounting and controls for the business unit. • Participate to monthly project reviews. • Assist in the accounting work of Project Accounting System. • Prepare and consolidate monthly reports on financial performance and key business metrics. • Perform Analysis on business unit performance (Actuals, Forecast). • Drive reporting process improvement and automisation of process within the business unit. • Ad hoc duties as required. Successful candidate will be / have: • Ability to influence other finance & accounting individuals. • Advanced MS Excel skills. • 2 years’ of progressive accounting /finance experience, with a preference in commerce and industry (i.e. non-audit environment). • Excellent analytical skills and experience in project accounting are highly desirable. • Must be self-motivated, capable to prioritise and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Fluent in English (verbal and written). • Ability to work unsupervised. • Ability to work in a cross-cultural team environment (and/or have had international experience). • Prioritise when there are multiple objectives and tasks. • Question underlying financials to spot potential errors or improve business performance. • Strong analytical skills. • Business understanding & a strategic approach. • Possess strong communication skills (with different background and levels of audience). • Potential to develop further in the finance organisation. • Additional European language would be beneficial.
