Technical Reporting Analyst

A progressive and dynamic service business based in Sheffield are currently looking to recruit a Technical Reporting Analyst for their dynamic and friendly head office city centre location. This is a great opportunity to secure an immersing and well rounded analytical role that will have a direct commercial influence on the business.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support the design and delivery of a new firmwide reporting solution
* Design and delivery of financial reporting to the practice groups and business support functions.
* Testing, reconciliation and sign of all new Business Intelligence reports, ensuring finance policies and protocols are adhered to
* Ownership of the Business Intelligence reporting library ensuring scheduled reports run correctly and that report access is controlled and maintained
* Ownership of the finance period-end reporting schedules
* Provide training and user support to Business Objects end-users
* Assisting the Financial Reporting Team Leader as and when required

The successful candidate will possess the following competencies:-

* Have an excellent working knowledge of Business Objects
* Demonstrate a professional approach, be tenacious and focused, demonstrate high levels of customer service and a determination to get the job done
* Be able to work well under their own initiative and identify solutions to business reporting requests
* Strong planning skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities
* Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and have experience of providing system training to end users
* Be flexible and able to work under pressure and manage delivery to strict deadlines
* Be able to display a consistently positive attitude and adopt a 'can do' approach
* Ideally knowledge of SQL and Business Objects

Hours of work: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with flexibility needed in times of pressure
