Financial Accountant

Chase and Holland are delighted to be working with an exceptional FTSE 250 client who have transformed themselves to be a clear market leader in the UK. Due to expansion and company restructure they require a highly competent, driven Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Financial Accounting Manager this will be a hands on position requiring the candidate to draw on their technical ability to produce financial and statutory accounts and the associated reports as well as supporting the wider business on commercial, operational and strategic decisions. Duties within this role will include:

Responsible for monthly financial reporting for this key business unit; Managing the month end close down and timely reporting of month end and management reporting packs for board review; Full balance sheet responsibility; Statutory accounts; Control Issues with regards to Corporate Governance Group reporting to IFRS; Summarise monthly management accounts and ensure all queries are dealt with appropriately; management of Opex spend as required; indirect tax returns and liaising with budget holders and various ad-hoc projects and business case support.

My client is looking for a technically astute accountant who can take ownership of the accounts production, backed up by an ACA or ACCA qualification. There will be room to grow within this role and learn new commercial skills. All candidates must have a can do attitude with the will to learn and progress their career in a progressive company with an open door policy. This is the ideal role for someone wanting to make a first or second move into industry, and who has a sound understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
