GROUP STRATEGY MANAGER

TOP-TIER COMMERCIAL /STRATEGY OPPORTUNITY

A rapidly expanding and formidable business with a market leading offline presence, an even faster growing E-Commerce presence and one of the shining lights in their respective sector is looking to attract high calibre talent to join their organisation to work as part of a new high profile Strategy team, responsible for providing Group wide Strategic Planning that will support the business through a planned period of growth, acquisition and innovation. A truly unique role that will be very sought after by many due to the nature of the work and the opportunity, this is not to be missed.

The target audience is upper quartile talent (ACA/CIMA/MBA/Marketing/Strategy qualified or equivalent) from the of practice-Big4, FMCG, Retail, Financial Services/Banking, FTSE or similar 'blue-chip', corporate worlds.

Reporting in to the Senior Manager for Group Strategy and Strategic Change, you will work closely with the Executive Committee including the Chief Executive and the Senior Management team, on a number of strategic priorities encompassing both internal and external analysis and review. Internal analysis includes the review of new initiatives such as potential acquisitions and new business start-ups as well as Business Unit benchmarking and appraisals. External analysis is performed in all areas extends to competitor benchmarking, and industry / market analysis.

The analysis performed by this team is the basis for many of the strategic decisions in the group and the team also plays a central role in supporting Group Investor Relations with the communication of key messages to the market.

You could be a high calibre qualified accountant (ACA from a top firm or CIMA with a strong industry background) with a strong commercial/strategy/group wide strategic slant (potential) who can demonstrate they have been at the top of their peer group throughout their training programme and beyond; Or alternatively strong strategically focussed individuals with a commercial/marketing/strategic focus without the qualification but with an equivalent qualification perhaps in Marketing or such as an MBA may be considered.
