Frazer John (Finance) are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join a rapidly growing services business based out of Warrington, The focus of the role is to develop and manage the commercial team to ensure appropriate support is provided to Sales and Operations teams. Very much focused on providing support to the Sales teams there are five key dimensions to the role:
  • Determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer satisfaction;
  • Ensuring a consistent trajectory of margin growth while avoiding obstacles that arise from a constantly shifting market;
  • Identifying and mitigating against key commercial risks;
  • Investigating alternative ways of working to drive down overhead costs
  • Identifying new market opportunities and preparing business cases in support of these.
 
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing and developing a small team whose duties include the management and administration of customer contracts and associated product pricing;
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts with Regional and National customers;
  • Identifying and implementing business improvements through constant process review and constructive challenge;
  • Deputising for the Commercial Director as required.
 
Key interfaces include:
  • Liaison with the marketing team to ensure a consistent approach across all sales channels;
  • Daily interaction with the Bid Team to provide robust commercial and contractual appraisal of all tenders;
  • Liaison with the Customer Reporting Team to ensure consistent data quality and accurate account mapping;
  • Regular attendance at Sales meetings to develop internal networks and relationships to ensure shared understanding of corporate governance, customer behaviour and market trends;
  • Liaison with the PMO (Project Management Office) to drive identified business improvement initiatives.
 
Remuneration:
Basic salary of £50-60k + membership of company bonus scheme
