Company Accountant

Exciting sports and Corporate Hospitality group seek a Company Accountant to work in Barnet.


Our client is a small established and dynamic Event Management /Corporate Hospitality specialist based in Barnet, North London. They are looking for a highly personable, versatile and enthusiastic company accountant with excellent communication skills to work as part of a small team . Reporting to the directors and supervising one member of staff you will be responsible for the complete Finance function. Duties will include overseeing the day today transactional processes , developing and improving existing systems and procedures: Monthly reconciliations: Financial and Management Accounts together with variance analysis and commentary on the profitability of each event or show . Some joint venture reporting on shared projects will also be required .
You will also work closely with the company auditors who are currently responsible for some of the accounting payroll and HR functions with the objective of possibly bringing them "in house" .
The ideal candidate could be someone currently working in the profession and looking for their first move into industry OR an experienced part qualified or qualified small company accountant with a good understanding of Accounts ,HR, Company secretarial and systems procedures required for an expanding organisation .Previous experience gained within the Corporate Hospitality,Sports /Event management , Music or similar industries would be an advantage . Excellent communication skills , versatility and an interesting personality will enhance your ability to interact with both your colleagues and clients.
