A listed and rapidly expanding international software company based in Cambridge is looking for a Group Financial Controller. The Group Financial Controller is a key hire for the business and represents a key strategic milestone in the growth of the organisation. The Group Financial Controller will report to the CFO as his No. 2 in Finance and lead the finance team both in the UK and internationally.
This is a high profile role and the Group FC will gain significant exposure to the senior management including the board. The Group FC will manage a team and take ownership of all the core aspects of financial control such as the consolidation and presentation of financial results, monitoring financial performance, treasury and cost management.
In addition this individual will drive the group annual budgeting process, reporting of actuals and regular forecasting updates, provide financial management of the subsidiary businesses and drive best practice across the subsidiary finance teams.
As well as all of the core aspects above, this individual will also be heavily involved in a wide range of commercial and improvements projects including M&A, providing updates to the City and the market, process and systems improvements and investment appraisal.
This is a brilliant role for someone who has some management experience but who is looking to step up into a high profile role in a growing business.
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified and have experience in consolidations and IFRS within an international business (ideally in a listed company). However, some flexibility can be provided if the candidate can show other key experience for the role and the aptitude to pick up new skills quickly.
