HFG is representing a FTSE-listed, global insurance and asset management business as they look to strengthen their Group Financial Performance team by recruiting at the Manager level.

The successful candidate will work closely with Group Treasury, Group Risk and individual Business Units to manage the Group’s cash flow, balance sheet and financial risks. This will include providing dividend modelling and analysis and assisting in the Group capital and cash management alongside ad hoc projects.

Key responsibilities:


-       Model long term business performance to provide dividend recommendation to the Group Board

-       Review Business Unit dividend risk appetite frameworks

-       Review & infer impact of stress scenarios on Business Unit remittance

-       Write board papers with support analysis for dividend recommendations

-       Maintain and develop Group dividend policy

-       Identify key issues and constraints in the stock and flow of capital

-       Analyse Business Unit plans to challenge remittance targets

-       Work to optimise management of FC risk on Business Unit remittances and capital transactions

-       Interact with senior personnel and teams across the Group’s geographies and business units to collate and analyse financial data

-       Work with Group Risk and Capital team to execute Group liquidity risk management and reporting to Balance Sheet & Capital Management Committee and Group’s Executive Risk Committee and develop liquidity contingency plan

-       Manage and monitor the Group Financing Policy

-       Work with the Capital team to execute, prepare due diligence and financial analysis to facilitate capital raising

-       Review the Group’s liquidity position

-       Project finance appraisals, assessing the implications from a financial management perspective, including liaising with Group Treasury and Ratings teams

-       Create the financial and capital plan over the medium and long term

-       Ad hoc projects, providing advice and recommendations as needed


The successful Group Financial Performance Manager should be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong financial analysis background, specifically within either Insurance or Asset Management. This will be complemented by excellent communication skills in order to liaise with senior colleagues to provide clear and insightful commentary and analysis, both verbally and written. In addition, knowledge of Treasury and risk operations would be highly advantageous.
