Company Accountant

THE ROLE:

Macildowie are exclusively supporting a cracking small business in East Nottinghamshire to recruit a Company Accountant into their team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Commutable from Grantham, Nottingham, Bingham and Newark this opportunity will be working in a self sufficient, well organised, friendly team of 5 within a genuinely interesting business that are performing really well at the moment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Company Accountant opportunity comes with a salary of around £28,000 to £35,000 depending on your experience, qualifications and industry knowledge.

You will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary as well as coordinating month-end and submitting accurate and timely VAT returns.

Some general bookkeeping will be involved as you oversee the general ledger function and you will be getting involved with some credit control duties.

Other duties may include:

-Authorise company purchases and leasing agreements
-Oversee banking and cashflow management
-Having your say in strategic decisions to move the business forward
-Manage relationships with external bodies (banks, auditors etc)
-Suggest methods for process improvement to drive business performance

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

-CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified or Qualified by experience, some small company qualified accountants may also be interested
-Proven experience of producing monthly management accounts for an SME
-Confidence to present financial information to an FD/MD
-Staff management experience (desirable)
- SME Company Accountant experience (ideal)
