UK FINANCE MANAGER

Rettig UK Ltd is a £70m turnover business with manufacturing, distribution and commercial activities across 3 locations; Gateshead (panel radiator manufacture), Birtley (logistics) and Hull (convector and niche product manufacture).
Role
Reporting to a Group Finance Director who is based in the Maastricht head office, the overall purpose of the role is to manage the total UK finance function including, financial reporting, management accounts, accounts payable, credit control and rebates/ contract support services.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Managing an experienced team (circa 10 people)
- Annual statutory accounts preparation
- Analysis of monthly management accounts and operating statements
- Variance analysis and regular reviews with the Group Finance Director and the Managing Director, Rettig UK
- Weekly cash flow forecasting
- Accounts payables / receivables management
- Monthly group reporting and commentary to strict deadlines
- Qualitative and quantitative balance sheet reconciliation
- Overall accountability in terms of financial control procedures, including compliance testing
- Inter-company reconciliation
- Inventory control and reporting
- Forecasting and annual budgeting. Budgetary control.
- Financial analysis of the UK CAPEX requests
- Accountability for statutory and corporate tax accounting purposes
- Customer and product profitability analysis
- Ensuring appropriate expenditures are properly authorised and controlled in accordance with delegated levels of authority
The person
Technical skills & experience:
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems, preferably BaaN, Ln, or SAP
- Appropriate level of experience gained in a manufacturing environment, with some experience of logistics and distribution
- Group reporting
- Well rounded accounting knowledge. Commercially aware
