Assistant Accountant

An Assistant Accountant job (Six month contract) in London for a leading fashion retailer paying up to £30k.

They have offices located in London and are focussed on bringing a new approach to high street retailers, offering affordable yet stylish clothing in a usually expensive market. This retailer boasts a fast expanding portfolio with forays into Europe and plans to further expand the brand in the future.

This 6 month fixed term contract as an Assistant Accountant has emerged due to a need for maternity leave cover.

Your new role
You will be responsible for a spectrum of duties ranging from the start to finish invoice processing to assisting with the month end management accounts. Working alongside another few individuals in the finance team you will be assisting in reconciliation work, posting prepayments and accruals to the nominal ledger and supporting with cash-flow forecasting. Your primary focus is to maintain the accounts of the company and to liaise with the warehouse and production ensuring any variances are communicated and resolved.

What you'll need to succeed
Your experience of using Sage Line 50 in a professional environment will lead you to success. You should have experience of competently dealing with invoices in a timely manner. Your ability to assist in the month end procedures and cash-flow forecasting will ensure that business needs are met swiftly and efficiently.
