A professional services company based in modern and comfortable offices in Birmingham City Centre. A forward thinking and ambitious organisation who pride themselves on working to the highest possible standard. They are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will be working within the Client Finance Team and will report directly into the Client Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for; all aspects of the AP and AR process, carrying out supplier account reconciliations, weekly payment runs by BACS and credit transfers, cash allocation, monitoring VAT and complex query resolution.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a full practical understanding of the whole AP and AR process, invoicing and daily banking. It will be beneficial if you have previously worked within a shared service centre environment within a professional services firm or similar. You will have advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables) as well as excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
