Our central London based client seeks an experienced Finance Director to join there expanding global business. Reporting to the CEO the successful individual will be responsible for Finance, Operations, Risk, HR, IT and administration within this highly regarded business. The chosen incumbent will confidently implement strategy, change and present accurate financial information to the board and external stakeholders of the business. You will deliver operational excellence and a high standard of ongoing assurance across cash and liquidity management and treasury administration activities. The chosen candidate must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and be from a Corporate, Financial Services, Treasury or Banking background.

Duties will include:

•          Maintain a comfortable business network in London and EMEA markets

•          Maintain accurate financial accounting and reporting

•          Prepare statutory accounts to IFRS regulation

•          Obtain funding

•          Deploy funds

•          Construct fund portfolios

•          Maintain SOX compliance

•          Cost control and budgeting

•          Tax compliance

•          Lead business change

•          Control the settlement function

•          Conduct accurate risk reporting

•          Manage the IT function

•          Responsibility for HR and staffing

You must have

•          A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

•          Knowledge of IFRS 7/9 and IAS 32/39

•          Previously held a senior position in a corporate or financial function

•          Experience within financial services, more specifically within treasury or banking and a knowledge of hedge funds
