Financial Reporting Manager job for a Qualified Accountant in a corporate organisation in Glasgow city centre

A Financial Reporting Manager job opportunity exists for a Qualified Accountant within a complex corporate reporting environment within a high profile global business based in Glasgow city centre.

Your new role

The role has a broad remit in which you will manage a team of staff covering the management and delivery of all areas of general ledger processing, journal processing, fixed assets, VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, charge out activity, intercompany charges, prepayments and accruals.
In addition you will advise and recommend on the controls environment, support the coordination of a consistent approach throughout, with particular emphasis on SOX compliance and documentation as well as taking a lead role with key projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified Accountant with previous experience of managing a team and will ideally have strong financial reporting and varied accounting experience, ideally gained working within a large corporate organisation within a SOX compliant controls environment.
You will possess strong technical accounting skills as well as experience of managing multiple business units and managing relationships with multiple stakeholder groups.
Good project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deliver to tight deadlines are considered essential elements of this role

You will demonstrate a resilient and proactive approach and will thrive working within a fast paced, ever changing environment and will possess the ability to drive change and streamline efficiencies.
