Are you a qualified accountant with some people management experience looking for a highly responsible role where you will be managing a team & have the opportunity progress to Finance Controller for a popular high street hospitality company?

You will be leading & developing 3 Assistant Management Accountants through preparation of monthly management accounts. A high proportion of the role is also producing regular & ad-hoc analysis to support commercial decisions.

The company are a well-established provider of gourmet food and have over 75 restaurants in the UK. The business has over 5 years of established growth and have plans to open over 10 restaurants in the next year. Their products can also be purchased in national retail chains and the company have recently launched an online delivery service which has been very successful.

Cultural fit is very important to the company. They are looking for someone who has a strong presence & leadership capability but is equally dynamic & easy going.

The Role:

  • Ensuring continuous innovation and improvement in management information
  • Managing & developing 3 Assistant Management Accountants
  • Leading the team through preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting internal stakeholders with management account queries
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc analysis to support & inform commercial decisions
  • Preparation of information for annual corporation tax packs and capital allowances packs
  • Providing training for new restaurant managers & other operational management staff in understanding and using P&Ls

The Person:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Experience managing a team desirable
  • Good cultural fit - strong leadership skills, dynamic, easy going
  • Looking to progress in the future
