Finance Manager

Our futuristic and growth focused Leicestershire based manufacturing client, a market leader in their sector is currently looking to recruit a new Finance Manager. This is a rewarding and challenging new finance opportunity to work in a proactive and dynamic UK business where you will be responsible for supporting six subsidiaries in the UK as well as being directly involved in the Group Accounting function. This role will also be responsible for the supervision and development of at least one member of staff.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the key areas of responsibility of this exciting and varied role will include: Preparation of both entity and consolidated monthly turnover reports; Delivery of timely and accurate management accounts; Detailed variance analysis reporting on those management accounts compared to budget and previous year; Review of Balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring that these are carried out on a monthly basis; Reviewing other entity management accounts as prepared by other staff members; Presentation of management accounts on a quarterly basis to the Board of Directors; Responsibility for maintenance of fixed asset registers; Working with the sales department to ensure accurate costing rates are used on sales quotations; Preparation of annual budgets and also the preparation of rolling forecasts; Year end collation of documents, schedules and analysis for audit and tax; Working closely with the other functions of credit control, purchase ledger, payroll and treasury within the finance department; Working closely with other functions outside of the finance department and being see as the first point of contact when dealing with the operations department, IT department and sales department.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident ACA/ACCA/ACMA Qualified Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Company Accountant with a minimum of two years PQE coupled with strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

This role will require the successful candidate to challenge, facilitate and influence at all levels across the business and wider group. A "can do" attitude and "inquisitive business partnering skills" will be highly advantageous as will, strong spreadsheet, ERP and data manipulation skills preferably gained from working in/within Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and/or production.
