Investment & Treasury Manager

My client is looking to recruit a strong Investment & Treasury Manager to be a key member of the Senior finance function.

The successful candidate will have a CCAB or equivalent accounting qualification or CFA or equivalent investment related qualification with at least 2 years PQE and experience in an investment, fund accounting and treasury capacity.

The role includes:

*To provide expertise to support the decision making processes for implementing, effectively managing and maintaining the hedging and capital protection activities using derivatives including foreign currency forwards, options, futures and swaps. To have the skills and capability to understand, analyse and communicate the views of internal and external experts in the use, valuation and risks associated with the use of derivatives;
*To oversee the accounting and reconciliation processes for the investment assets and to provide challenge and expertise. To have insightful knowledge and skills to communicate the results to both financial and non-financial personnel;
*To support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory accounting and regulatory reporting information and to manage the production of investment related supporting schedules and information. To provide expertise to liaise with internal and external audit and professional firms.
*To liaise with financial accounting and actuarial teams and to provide expertise on investment instruments to support their requirements in the assessment, for example, of the capital costs in stress events;
*To manage cash flows from investments and propose and approve transactions to ensure invested cash levels are optimised;
*To provide expertise to oversee and manage the fund accounting activities to enable the accurate and timely production of daily, weekly and monthly unit prices;
*To provide expert knowledge on the tax charges for investments and to provide investment related input to the tax planning and tax calculations;
