We are working with a FTSE 30 service organisation who require an ACA, ACCA or CIMA part qualified Accountant to join their team and support a rapidly growing contract The role will be based in Harrogate and the purpose of the role is to support and continually improve service levels, cost effectiveness and add value to commercial activities undertaken.

The organisation are FTSE 30 listed and provide soft services to multiple clients globally, for high achievers there are multiple opportunities to progress, in a variety of locations nationwide.

As a Finance Manager what will I be responsible for?

The Finance Manager will be offered daily interaction with operational teams and will be seen as the key point of contact for all financial matters within a £12m contract.

• Provide accurate reporting and management information as required
• Ensure all company, client and legal requirements, processes and procedures are implemented effectively and attend client and internal review meetings
• Ensure financial implications of clients contracts are understood and enforced
• In conjunction with Business Unit Managers and Contract Directors discuss finance implications or new/ additional opportunities
• Provide commercial financial support to Business Unit Managers and Contract Director
• Support the forecasting and budgeting process to ensure robust and challenging targets are set
• Ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure correct pricing structures are in place and adhered to
• Effectively analyse all in unit costs and report any findings to Manager
• Strive to reduce all types of business costs whilst pursuing quality and innovation
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial returns for weekly and monthly accounts
• Provide relevant and timely information to support operations and central functions
• Set up, monitor and maintain and develop financial control and reporting system for contracts in line with company and client requirement
• Conduct regular and accurate variance analysis and site performance monitoring

Is the Finance Manager the right role for me?

To be successful within this role, you will be part qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA within industry or practice or gained business partnering exposure within a fast paced, environment. A passion for building relationships with non-finance and supporting commercial decision making will be essential, alongside a willingness to improve and push through change within your region.
