Finance Manager

Our client is an innovative, modern arms length housing organisation (ALMO), created in October 2005 employing approximately 540 people and managing 12,000 properties across the borough of Stockport. They are currently in the process of establishing a group structure to support the furtherance of their key aims in line with their vision of Transforming Lives.

Due to their continued growth and diversification, our client is seeking a high calibre finance professional to undertake the exciting new role of Finance Manager within the Corporate Finance Team. 

Within the role you will ensure the provision of pro-active, innovative and technically excellent financial management of the Group financial affairs in an ever changing and developing business environment.

Taking ownership for the successful delivery of a professional and high quality financial framework including management of the statutory accounting process, group financial policies and procedures and the budgetary control framework, you must also ensure the ongoing support and development of members of the Corporate Finance Team in line with their vision, aims and values.

The role demands a technically excellent, analytical, focussed and resilient individual who can demonstrate a proven track record of achievement within a complex financial operating environment.  They are particularly interested in applications from candidates who trained and qualified in practice.  Capable of setting and managing budgets, you must have excellent IT skills and have experience of delivering the statutory accounts process in full, preferably across a group structure.   

The role offers excellent terms and conditions to the right candidate, including a salary of up to £46,429, plus up to £1,800 per year lease car contribution, a defined benefit pension scheme (with employer contributions currently at 19.3%), 27 days annual leave and opportunities to work flexibly.
