Senior Internal Auditor

Job Role

My client is a national financial services business with operations across the UK. Operating under different brands they have grown to become a major player within their industry. Due to their continued success, they are looking to increase the capacity of their audit function based in Manchester city centre.

You will undertake audit fieldwork assignments to support the delivery of Internal Audit objectives. You will lead reviews which will include audit scoping and planning phases to ensure that all key risk areas are identified and the control environment is appropriately assessed. Audits that you will deliver will include Financial Reporting, Operational Activity and Regulatory Compliance.  You will be involved in contributing to the development of the annual audit plan and may have formal line management responsibilities. You can expect to travel across the UK approximately 15%-20% of your time.

What we are looking for

You will have a Big 4 background and will possess a relevant qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent. Experience delivering audits, either from an internal or external perspective across the insurance sector is essential for this position. You will have well developed communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels across the business. You will be looking to make your first move out of practice and will be keen to join a growing business with strong leadership within the IA function.
