Assistant Accountant

Due to a recent promotion, our national charity client requires an immediately available Part qualified Accountancy student. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience in a finance role and will be studying for a recognised Accountancy qualification. The role will initially be for a 6 month period with a possibility of becoming permanent in due course.

This is a really interesting and varied role and will assist the Financial Controller and the Finance team in all aspects of the organisation. So you will be able to get exposure to all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities may include:-

Preparing analysis to assist the month end and year end processes as well as Balance sheet reconciliations, 

Assisting with treasury and taxation issues, as well as the statutory Audit

Working on a variety of compliance and reporting issues and Ad hoc projects.

You may be a graduate, but certainly studying for a recognised Accountancy qualification, with at least 12 months finance/accounting experience in a well run organisation. Experience in the charity sector would be an advantage, but an interest in the sector will be essential. Benefits include flexible working hours and generous holidays.
