Global Accounting Network is working with a really exciting sports marketing and technology business which has presence in 43 countries, over 2,000 employees and an incredible growth track. As an entrepreneurial and driven company, they are expanding their network and their offering and have just launched a new business that is expected to double their turnover in two years.
All of this growth and expansion brings both challenge and opportunity and they have been working hard to future-proof the business, get processes, controls and support to be best in class and to drive performance of all staff. They went through a global ERP implementation last year and are keen to get the best out of that, and also to drive efficiency out through the global finance community.
This role is pivotal in delivering a best in class finance operation, leading the R2R, P2P and O2C workstreams and delivering a seamless service for clients both internal and external. There is a team of over 50 in total, with 5 direct reports, in Poland, UK, America and Argentina. Your role will be very project orientated, driving improvements, continuing to future-proof the capability and deliver the service on an on-going basis.
Responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
- Initiate and drive the continuous improvements of all end to end processes for Record to Report, Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay
- Drive improvements in and own working capital management throughout the organisation
- Ensure the transactional finance functions deliver an exceptional service in an accurate manner
- Initiate, manage and deliver varied projects to drive systems, process and output improvements to meet ever changing business needs
- Work with a variety of stakeholders to assess business needs and deliver operational effectiveness
The ideal candidate will be:
- ACA from Big 4 OR ACCA from major PLC
- Excellent academics with 2.1 or above from Russell Group University
- Experienced in process improvement and financial management
- A great people manager
- Knowledgeable around financial processes P2P, R2R, O2C.
- Enthusiastic about and interested in systems
This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys driving change, delivering operational excellence and managing projects. The current incumbent has been promoted twice in 18 months and is looking for someone equally driven to take up the mantle.
