Senior Syndicate Accountant / Manager

This leading Insurance business which operates in the Lloyds, UK and European markets is looking to recruit a senior syndicate accountant / finance manager for a long term interim role. This role will be to add strength to the team while they complete a major finance transformation project.

The purpose of the role will be to manage the financial accounting processes and accounting ledger maintenance for all UK companies including Lloyds Syndicate.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Day to day maintenance of accounting records, including accounting services, reconciliations and management of the general ledgers;
• Financial governance including monitoring of all relevant financial control processes and quality checks to ensure accurate date is produced
• Production of all monthly management and regulatory/Statutory reports and accounts in IFRS and/or local GAAP where required.
• Preparation of financial information and appendices for Board papers
• The holder will be responsible for assisting the UK Finance Operations Manager and UK Controller in managing all deliverables and will be expected to look for operational efficiencies and improvements wherever possible. The holder therefore must have excellent accounting and business knowledge.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with at excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and will have a strong background in Insurance, particularly with Lloyds market knowledge.
