Management Accountant

A new vacancy has arisen for a Management Accountant with a nationwide Media Company based in Manchester. You will work alongside an experienced Financial Controller who will offer you guidance and career development. As the Management Accountant you will have experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, analysis of accounts and reporting to a senior level. The chosen Management Accountant will be allowed to work under their own supervision and progress as far as they want to within a growing business.

Your role as a Management Accountant will consist of preparing the full management accounts pack including trial balance, prepping the P&L, budgeting and forecasting, journals, year end prep (liaising with auditors) and HMRC regulations/compliance as well as VAT returns.

The ideal Management Accountant will be expected to:

• Be confident in prepping the Management Accounts
• Able to present to senior stakeholders and department managers including the FD
• Be confident enough to challenge managers and offer them an honest opinion drawn from the analysis of the accounts

The ideal candidate will:

• Be qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA (PQ will be considered)
• Have a strong background in excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros)
• Be confident meeting senior stakeholders and managers within other areas of the business
