Group Accountant

Edward Mann is currently recruiting for one of the world’s leading logitistics and transport company, based in Central London

Responsibilities:

Completing the monthly group consolidation, reviewing submissions from group companies and analysing balance sheet items.

Prepare monthly management accounts reports for senior group management.

Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation procedure for balance sheet and income statement items.

Maintain monthly intercompany loan data, co-ordinate the booking of the journals, review new loans.

Assist in quarterly loan covenant compliance by preparing the financial statements, the compliance calculations and guarantor loan and investment tests.

Assist with production of statutory accounts for head office/holding/UK and Irish companies.

Prepare analysis and presentation material as requested, with focus on the balance sheet.

Keep management informed of accounting technical developments and their impact on financial reporting.

Work on projects to implement new accounting and reporting developments and improvements.

Skills/Requirements:

Qualified accountant ACA

Preparation of financial accounts and resolution of complex technical accounting issues

Experience of working with cross-geographical and cross-functional teams

Prior Cognos experience an advantage but not a requirement
