Sellick Partnership has been assigned to recruit a permanent Commercial Finance Manager / Senior Business Partner for a very successful and instantly recognisable retail business based in Manchester.

This is a truly value-add role that works closely with the executive management team.

 

 

The role

 

The role will lead finance business support for the regional division within Logistics, business partnering the regional head and their leadership team to provide rich insight into business drivers, take the lead role in delivery of certain finance transformation initiatives, establish a performance culture, develop short- to long-term planning as well as ensure robust financial control across the multiple sites.

The person

 

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA) who has experience of commercial, logistics and operational areas within the retail, FMCG, multisite, logistics or distribution sectors.

 

You will have strong business partnering, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills and in particular the ability to communicate with senior level individuals. Focussed on delivering specific objectives, you will be proactive, dynamic and self-motivated with a desire to find and deliver improvements. In addition you will have the ability to work independently and together with other personnel both finance and non-finance.

 

Furthermore, you will have experience of major business transformations in a complex environment; experience of building strong finance capability from low base; development of business cases and project evaluation; strong analytical approach and experienced in driving step-change in forecasting, budgeting and planning methodologies and have a detailed grasp of underlying systems, processes and policies (operational and financial);
