Management Accountant

We are delighted to be working with a well established yet rapidly growing and widely recognised business who are now in a position to strengthen their existing finance team by recruiting an ambitious Management Accountant. This is an ideal opportunity for a CIMA part qualified, finalist or newly qualified accountant seeking a career making move which will offer the opportunity to gain excellent exposure to full management accounts within a £120m turnover business. This opportunity requires a high level of drive as it will offer genuine advancement opportunities within the short to medium term.

Working closely with an engaging and passionate Finance Manager, your remit will include:

-Management accounts for various arms of the business
-Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
-Review of all period-end balance sheet reconciliations
-Quarterly VAT returns
-Ad hoc analysis and reporting for Senior Management
-Involvement in wider departmental and company projects
-Intrastat reporting
- Detailed reporting
- Calculating profit split
- Reporting P&L and analysing variances against budget
- Posting and generating journals

The ideal candidate will be studying CIMA or be newly qualified and hungry to progress in their career as this is a dynamic business operation with realistic opportunities for development. You will benefit from an excellent level of diversity and autonomy whilst receiving full support and guidance from the Finance Business Partner. Although training will be provided, you will already be established in a similar remit and be used to working within fast-paced finance environments. Strong systems skills are essential including advanced Excel and experience of other reporting tools.

Applicants should ideally have experience within a business exceeding £20m turnover and experience within the wholesale sector is highly advantageous.
