THE COMPANY

A manufacturing SME based in Lancashire experiencing sales growth within its core UK and International markets. The business manufactures a range of innovative products which it incorporates into bespoke industrial solutions, tailored to individual customers across a range of heavy industries. The opening of further overseas offices to facilitate growth is planned.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A new opportunity has arisen within the business for an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA), offering full exposure to the business and career progression as far as Financial Controller over the next 4 - 5 years.

You will provide support to the Finance Director in all areas of accounts and finance, your main areas of responsibility will be:

- Assisting with the preparation of detailed monthly management accounts including p&l and balance sheet for all businesses in the group

- Assisting with the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts

- Assisting the FD with forecasting cash-flow

- Assisting in the implementation and development of a new ERP system

This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding SME business and progress quickly into a Management Accountant role with responsibility for supervising a team of ledger clerks and leading the production of detailed monthly management accounts for the group.

THE PERSON

You will ideally be a CIMA / ACCA Part-Qualified Accountant but most importantly you will have experience of assisting in all areas of management accounts preparation and supporting an FC / FD within a small or medium sized business.

You must also have ambition and possess the confidence to progress quickly into a role where you will report to main board level.
