A global multi- platform media group are looking for Commercial Finance Analyst to report straight to the Financial Controller and Head of commercial Finance.

The position will be helping deliver the revenue for the month end process including the production of monthly billing schedules, data administration, and the operation of controls relating to the Digital Advertising booking system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Weekly/ monthly revenue reporting detailed by Agency/ Advertiser/ Sales category.
  • Work with the ad ops and advertising sales teams on insertion order reconciliation and campaign fulfilment.
  • Support the commercial operations in advertising booking, reporting, invoice production and query resolution; acting as a key point of contact for queries relating to the Digital Advertising booking system.
  • Management of credit notes and sundry invoices that are sent outside of the month end billing process.
  • Challenge and improve existing working practices to ensure optimum processes and controls are in place. Work with data source owners and IT to ensure that key data is accurate, automated and timely.
  • Product and campaign management with a sales booking and revenue reporting remit.
  • Work alongside the advertising sales team and the commercial finance team to support the evolution of reporting tools to provide the business with greater insight.
  • Awareness of Group policies and procedures to help highlight any potential issues and to ensure your work is compliant

Key Skills

  • Degree graduate (ideally in a numerical or scientific discipline) with work experience in a finance/ commercial environment being desirable
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to handle large volumes of data and work with different IT systems
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to challenge current practices and think innovatively in executing work
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with staff from different levels and disciplines
  • Ability to handle and resolve challenges and problem-solve quickly and effectively
