Head of Management Accounting

Robertson Bell finance are pleased to be working with a leading Property Developer with a turnover in excess of £200m and looking to recruit a Head of Management Accounting to be based in there Crawley office.

The background is as follows: This Group has recently gone through a considerable transformation project in order to improve/ build on growth, hence you will have full autonomy to shape the management reporting function and truly make it your own. It is therefore an exciting time and plenty of interesting and CV enhancing work to be done.

The Head of Management Accounts will lead, develop and coach a team of three part qualified Management Accountants. Main responsibilities will include:

*Lead the team to provide timely and accurate financial information and advice to senior management across the Group
*Oversee the preparation of monthly management information for each entity in the Group, including variance analysis and commentary on performance against approved budget
*Consolidate the annual budget, including variance analysis on business and financial change
*Prepare annual statutory accounts for some entities and participate in the annual external audit
*Provide effective leadership to the management reporting team

In short, this role covers elements of both financial and management accounting plus the exposure to senior non finance staff where you will be communicating financial information to non-financial people. The experience gained in this role cannot be overstated.

The successful candidate will be an analytical, intelligent, qualified accountant, confident with leading the management reporting process and able to confidently articulate and understand the wider business. You will have the ability and communication skills needed to build strong working relationships at all levels across the business and particularly with non - finance and some staff management exposure will be key.
