Company Accountant

Company Accountant.

Our client a small but highly successful group of companies, turnover c.£7 million, seeks an experienced accountant to head up its finance function. This hands-on role would suit a qualified, part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or qualified by experience accountant who possesses all-round experience.
Duties include:
*Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
*Reconciliation TB/ profit and loss
*Quarterly VAT returns and Monthly payroll preparation and submission of the necessary reports
*Monthly PAYE and NI reconciliation
*Reconciliation of inter-company balances
*Primary data entry into Sage 50 accounts
*Maintaining fixed asset registers
*Dealing with asset acquisitions and disposals
*Daily/weekly bank reconciliations
*Purchase ledger payments and sales receipts
*Authorising payments
*Petty cash/credit card reconciliations
*Overseeing IT issues and resolutions
*Various other ad-hoc administration duties
*Liaising with the Managing Director and external accountants
*The payroll is currently carried out by a third party but this will be brought in house with Sage payroll likely to be used.
