Partner Financial is working with an entrepreneurial technology business who are currently embarking on a period of growth. Their success so far has been driven by their ability to produce an innovative new product approach, accompanied by a targeted, modern marketing strategy and strong investor backing.

The business has set itself ambitious targets over the next couple of years, and have created a new role for a Finance Manager to first of all create an in-house finance function before then taking responsibility for the day to day running of this function.

This is an ideal role for an individual who either trained within a mid-tier firm, or has worked for a fast growth SME business and is looking to take ownership of a small finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage the month end process and reporting on the financial position of the business;
  • Produce monthly management accounts;
  • Implement and manage all transaction processes including AP & AR;
  • Develop and update budgets and liaise with department heads around performance against budget;
  • Manage the on line banking, uploading payments & running reports;
  • Ensure instructor payments are updated on company's internal system;
  • Create cash flow forecasting and assisting with the rolling budget;
  • Implement and produce KPI reporting that can support the business to achieve its strategic objectives;
  • Providing information to the external accountants ensuring reports are checked for accuracy;
  • Reviewing and improving processes and controls.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant from a mid-tier firm;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Able to communicate with finance and non finance;
  • Be able to pick things up quickly with a high attention to both detail and accuracy;
  • Must be IT literate and proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively at all levels in business.
