Sellick Partnership has been exclusively assigned to recruit a Senior Credit Risk Analyst for a financial services organisation based in Manchester city centre.

The role

 

This exciting opportunity is a newly created, broad and all-encompassing role within a fast growing organisation, which is looking to double in size over the next couple of years. This critical role within the business and are seeking to strengthen its team by recruiting an enthusiastic credit analyst to take on the role of Senior Credit Analyst reporting directly to the Head of Finance through to the Board. The role will be responsible for ensuring that they identify potential customers and set prices so as to maximise profitability.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Defining and shaping analytical / reporting requirements, delivering tactical solutions and developing strategic analysis, models and forecast to deliver profitable growth.
  • Undertaking specialised analysis in the areas of scorecard development, modelling, profiling / segmentation and forecasting.
  • Building and developing models to enhance strategic decisions, customer segmentation / contact strategies to deliver more targeted acquisition, successful customer / portfolio management and credit performance.
  • Modelling and forecasting banking covenants to ensure the business has clear visibility of anticipated trends.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the business on a regular basis to plan and prioritise, discuss requirements, and ensure successful delivery of analytical projects.
  • Supporting the business with analytical and technical expertise.
  • Maintaining and developing a series of unique databases and using these databases to provide information across the business.
  • Collaborating with Finance and Business Insight
  • Liaising with external agencies
  • Ad-hoc requirements from the board

 

The person

The successful applicant will have proven analytical experience within Credit / Risk teams in the Financial Services or Insurance Industry (minimum 5 years).

 

You will ideally have a good degree in a numerate subject coupled with strong SPSS / SAS (or similar), advanced Excel and strong analytical skills, to gather, organise and present conclusions to support decision making. SQL and/or Crystal reporting is desirable.

 

You will have the ability to present ideas and solutions at a board level and must be a self-starter, able to identify issues and develop solutions within a small team
