Management Accountant

Job Description

This is an exciting time as the business has seen significant growth over the last few years and more recently completed some valuable acquisitions to greater support expansion. Due to the increase in business we are looking to complement our teams based across the country.

As a Management Accountant your Main Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and validation of monthly VAT, EC Sales & Intrastat returns
• Preparation and booking of VAT, Tax, SGA and French entity journals at month end
• Validation of SAP to parent company accounts
• Preparation of USGAAP and UK balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Budgeting, Planning & Forecasting process for SGA and other financial accounts
• Assisting FCA with treasury – liaising with bank, setting up new bank accounts
• Set up/amend new AP vendors in SAP
• Providing audit information on relevant areas to both internal/external auditors
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts in IRIS
• Collate and provide information for the annual tax computations
• Finance lead for Accounting and Reporting cycle of SOX
• Proactive role in ongoing systems and process development for continued evolution of the finance department
• Preparation of annual insurance renewal documents
• Deputise for Assistant Financial Controller

Required Skills:

To be successful as a financial accountant you will need experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. To be successful you will need to be a Part of Full Qualified CIMA finalist and possess knowledge and experience of VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat.

You will have a logical, methodical and analytical approach to work and attention to detail in everything you do.
