Financial Controller

Our client is a privately owned property development company with extensive experience within the bespoke domestic market and with a consistent performance and track record over the years. The reason for this vacancy is due to expansion and exponential growth as a result of the current housing market shortage, specially in the Oxfordshire area.

Although the construction industry has experienced a slow down due to the uncertainty generated after Brexit, it has been forecasted that the domestic housing market prices will continue to rise as much as 34% in the next four years for the whole of the UK.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join the Senior management team. The chosen candidate should have ideally 5+ years experience in a similar role in the property development or construction industry, and will take full responsibility for the day to day financial account management, reporting directly to our Managing Director.

Applicants must have experience with the following:

Sale and Purchase Invoice processing
Management and processing of sub-contractors applications for payments
Managing UTR approval with HMRC
Managing sub-contractor tax, retentions and monthly remittances
Sales Invoices
Creditor management
Purchase order Management
Maintaining of Customer & suppliers details
Maintain trade account database and credit limits on computer
An understanding of WIP and monthly valuation process
New home sales completion
Handling post & Office stationary
Desirable experience (but not essential) includes:

Employee payroll
VAT returns
Cash flow forecasting and providing management accounts
Knowledge of inter-company accounting
Multiple Bank reconciliations
Issuing monthly management accounts to include Profit & Loss and Balance sheet information.
