Management Accountant job vacancy for a newly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA based in the West End


A Cosmetic retail business based in the West End are recruiting a newly qualified Management Accountant. You will be working for a SME retailer which has grown year on year and has ambitious plans for the next year looking to double their turnover from 5 million to double digit growth.

As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, variance analysis and commentaries;
• Review and understanding of aged debtors and creditors;
• Calculation of key accruals and accounting estimates;
• ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget;
• Preparation and submission of EC sales and intrastat;
• Supporting the Financial Controller;
• Mentoring and development of the finance assistant;
• Preparation of retail budget, working closely with the retail teams;
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
• Reconciliation of petty cash account and administering weekly product bonus to staff;
• Adhoc project work to implement new controls and efficiencies across finance and other teams.

You will be working for a key brand which has concessions within luxury retail stores around the UK and who also have their own stores based in prime retail streets in all UK main shopping cities.

This is a fast growing business looking for a newly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA finance professional who can add real value to the business. Retail experience is desired along with having industry background. However, if you are looking to make your first move from a mid-tier practice they will also consider this profile. What is crucial is having strong commercial acumen and a driven / positive mind-set where you can contribute and be part of a team and help drive the business to their goals as a growing SME brand. You must be able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment and be comfortable liaising with senior stakeholder as this business offers you great exposure to the wider company.
