Senior Management Accountant

Our client is a UK Private Equity Fund Manager with over £5 billion under management. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will work alongside two other people within the corporate accounting team.

Job Description:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts & board reports for the group
• Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all group companies
• Liaising with local accountants in Paris, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Frankfurt, checking and reconciling all accounts
• Inputting to, maintaining and reconciling the Sun accounting system
• Preparation of month end journals & reconciliations (fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, revaluations etc.)
• Assist with maintenance of the purchase ledger system
• Monthly PAYE / NI payments & reconciliations
• Intercompany reconciliations across the group
• Assist with budgeting & forecasting, analysis & reporting
• Cash management, including monitoring and reconciling bank accounts, preparing cashbooks, entering cash journals, weekly movements reports, FX forwards monitoring & EMIR returns
• Daily and monthly client account reconciliations
• Preparation of the group’s VAT returns including Partial Exemption calculations and EC sales lists
• Completion of various National Statistics surveys
• Provision of required analysis to tax accountant for completion of tax returns
• Jointly managing the operation of our staff expenses system, and our SUN accounts system
• Managing the recharges to and reconciling transactions with investment partnerships
• Continually looking for improvements to procedures and processes

 Skills/Experience:

• Recently qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA with good academic record
• Experience within the Financial Services sector and with SUN accounts would be advantageous
• A proactive and hardworking approach, able to cope with very busy periods
