Commercial Finance Manager

Our client is an instantly recognisable retail brand who are out performing their competition. The brand sits within a wider Group with a number of market leading brands under them.

In this particular role, you will act as a genuine business partner to the Managing Director of the brand, supporting them with everything they need to make key decisions. This will require someone who is can work autonomously and also as part of the wider brand management team.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Building an effective working relationship with the Managing Director and provide them with necessary support
• Analysis of current practices to identify best ways of working and improving controls
• Ad hoc analysis to help support decisions made across the business area to maximise performance and profitability
• Weekly and monthly sales and margin reporting
• Taking responsibility for all commercial budgets, forecasts and long term strategic plans. Challenge and analysis of plans, forecasts and targets to ensure a robust approach is taken.
• Month management accounts preparation
• Year-end audit support, ensuring full accounts submission
• Ensuring UK pricing hits both the margin expectations of the business whilst maintaining a competitive position in the market

The right person will be / have:

• Ideally a qualified accountant (or overseas equivalent)
• Commercial finance experience in the retail industry is a significant advantage
• Experience modelling and advanced excel skills
• The ability to influence key, senior stakeholders in the business
• The ability to work in a flexible, fast paced, and sometimes more unstructured environment
• The ability to think strategically and develop a team

They are looking to pay up to £60,000 + excellent overall package for the right candidate.
