Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting a Systems Accountant for a large well known charity in London. This is a brand new role within the organisation to lead strategic use of systems, data and processes.
The core purpose of the System Accountant is to review, recommend and implement new processes using the existing software to its full capabilities. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the financial reporting system and ensure financial management system complies with SORP and other best practice standards in charity finance. You will be the main contact for all members of staff in the organisation while designing a training guide. This role will lead the development of the system ensuring its cohesiveness and comprehensiveness for all staff.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in finance systems, processes and reporting. They would have started a career in finance and be a fully qualified accountant before transitioning to systems. Charity experience is desirable but not essential. The candidate will need to have technical experience where they are proactive in finding solutions. As this role liaises with a variety of staff strong communicational skills is essential.
