Based in the Chester area, my client is a rapidly expanding business support company that has quickly grown to revenues of over £35m and a 5 year plan that will see them grow their turnover tenfold.

Joining the business in a newly created Assistant/ Management Accountant role to meet current and future business demands, you will report directly to a qualified Financial Controller in a broad all-encompassing Management Accountant role. This is a fantastic progressive role with an opportunity to develop and qualify utilising the experience of the qualified accountants around you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for assisting with the company profit & loss account and relevant sections of the Balance Sheet of each group company to ensure they are completed accurately and on a timely basis, and to provide supplementary reporting, analysis and support to all brand directors and the Executive team.
  • Assisting with the annual budget and monthly re-forecasts including monthly meetings with brand directors, Finance Director and Board Directors.
  • Responsibility for obtaining, collating and verifying information on a monthly basis for inclusion in Executive management pack.
  • To ensure the provision of timely and valuable management and operational information across the business, maintaining and expanding a range of reports in order to assist budget holders in the effective management of their costs and revenue targets.
  • Striving to achieve best in class service delivery to all internal and external customers.
  • To play a key role in assisting with the annual statutory audits in order to ensure the company is compliant and attain a clean audit each year.


Applicants will be active studiers, Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA Assistant/ Management Accountants with varied accounting skills and knowledge of Management Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting. You will have a professional, committed and organised approach and a hunger for driving results, working to deliver continuous improvement and striving to offer a top class customer service focus. Good analytical skills, attention to detail and good communication skills are all essential to this role as is the ability to work under pressure.
