A business services company in Brentwood is looking for a Management Accountant to join their busy and vibrant finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the co-ordination and generation of the monthly management accounts are accurate and timely. The Management Accountant will also look after the Treasury and cash management of the Group.
Key Management Accountant responsibilities will include:
- Maintain all bank reconciliations
- To maintain all Balance Sheet reconciliations
- To maintain all Sales Reconciliations
- Prepare the quarterly VAT returns
- To maintain Intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain the Fixed Asset registers
- Finalise month end P&L's and Balance Sheets
- Assist with budget setting
- Month end Management Accounts
- To assist the Financial Controller with projects
Your characteristics:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA)
- Minimum of 5 years experience working within a Management Accountant role
- Experience with understanding commercial finance
- Advanced excel
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Technical financial system knowledge
- Excellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities
