Financial Accountant - 1st Time Industry Move

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting a Global blue chip organisation based in West Yorkshire as they look to strengthen their finance team within this region by recruiting a driven and ambitious Financial Accountant.

Reporting directly to the EMEA Controller this role will work very closely with the International teams as well as commercial, supply chain and Corporate finance teams and will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to grow and develop in a progressive and innovative business.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking for their first move in to industry.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

*US GAAP accounting and control for EMEA legal entities following company policies and procedures, including month end closing and balance sheet reconciliations as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
*UK plc group statutory financial statements.
*Local GAAP statutory accounting
*Local statutory compliance, meeting local government deadlines and requirements working with other teams as necessary.
*Assisting the tax team in preparation of indirect and direct tax returns.
*Working in partnership with other finance functions, for example Shared Services Centres and Business Unit finance teams, to deliver correct legal entity results and information.
*Working together with the wider EMEA finance team to deliver improvements and consistency across processes

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*ACA / ACCA Qualified
*Demonstrate experience in US GAAP, UK GAAP and plc statutory financial statements
*Naturally well organised with the ability to produce highly accurate information, on time, for board level review
*Able to demonstrate a strong track record within audit
*Able to communicate confidently with a diverse stakeholder group
