Senior Finance Analyst

An interesting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst within this global business services group based in Ealing, West London. As part of the central financial Reporting Team your key responsibility as the Financial Analyst is to support the client accounting  team with analysis of financial results and translate numbers into non-technical language.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Analyst include :

• Create and calculate direct cost and revenue templates for specific Operating Brands
• Create and post cost accruals into Maconomy
• Create and post revenue recognition entries into Maconomy
• Support the Accounting team on a day to day basis to be their point person for all issues and escalations
• Train new team members, determine best practices and provide informal performance feedback
• Work closely with the rest of the UK team and the local Operating Companies finance representatives to be the point person for all issues and escalations
• Critically review day to day tasks looking for efficiencies
• Ensure strong control environment established and maintained, in particular around balance sheet accounts and Sox controls
• Responsible for the timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations including accruals, prepayments, accrued income and deferred income across the Accounting team.
• Investigate aged unbilled amounts and work with team to correct issues and with the Billing department to ensure client invoicing is done in a timely manner.
• Review completed projects, determining projects to close and analyse any system entries on closure
• Delivery against tight Regional timelines.
• Assist with special projects as needed specifically the transition of outstanding Operating Companies to the Client Accounting Team

The ideal Financial Analyst will be a CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant with strong analytical (must have very good Excel skills) and excellent communication skills ideally with previous revenue recognition experience and in return will receive a daily rate of between £250-£300 per day. The contract is expected to last until at least April 2017
