ABPM as experts in financial recruitment are currently assisting a reputable client in the recruitment of an Audit Senior.

The position will involve the following key responsibilities:

Responsibility of working with a broad range of clients, over a number of sectors, ranging from SME, AIM listed and large multi-national groups; effectively building strong relationships via excellent communication and prompt resolution problems or requests.
The planning of resourcing, coordinating manager and partner input, budgets, client meetings and visits.
Identification of risks via the assessment of systems and controls.
Performing preliminary analytical reviews, highlighting any risk area for further audit investigation.
Identify and communicate expected trends, and address through analytical review.
Adhoc preparation or supervision of draft statutory financial statements based on the information provided by clients.
Team supervision, including chairing team meetings when necessary, communicating strategy to team members and setting objectives across the team.
Providing on the job training to assistants, competently and logically allocating work to relevant team members and completing complex areas of assignments.
Where appropriate ensure completion of Financial Statements, including disclosure checklist and closedown of audit files.
Drafting of the audit opinion summary for Partner review, management letters and reporting documents.

To be considered for this opportunity you will be ACCA or ACA qualified and possess the ability to demonstrate and apply advanced technical, commercial and industry knowledge to the role, effectively able to problem solve. Have the acumen to identify client needs and understand the importance of keeping them informed of project status. You will also be able to communicate effectively across both internal and external contacts, across a variation of levels, developing and maintaining your relationship. You will take ownership of projects and actively seek to enhance your personal expertise and knowledge. You should have the ability to delegate, take responsibility for quality control and act as a role model across your team.
