Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner. We are currently working with a commercially focused Public Sector organisation based in London (T.O circa £110million) who have a requirement for a talented, driven and highly motivated accountant to lead an exciting yet challenging Corporate & Technology business unit that is abundant with growth. The organisation itself has and continues to undergo a significant period of change.

Reporting to the head of Financial Planning and Analysis, this role is responsible for delivering a business finance and financial management package to key stakeholders including the business unit director and senior management team.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for; working with budget holders to ensure their performance against budgets are understood; provide financial performance projections across the directorate; leading the monthly management accounts pack for the directorate, including all income and costings; support in budgeting through the annual budget cycle and lead on forecasting processes for the new financial year; develop and maintain a framework for project and project portfolio accounting to ensure spending is accurately recorded and tracked; analyse benefits of projects in comparison to those stated within business cases; provide Finance business partnering support to all projects and programmes that are managed by the directorate; utilise and develop financial systems to maximise the output and efficiency of information provided and work with the financial model producing scenario analysis, and ensure this is kept up to date.

The successful candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant and would suit someone with a 'can do' attitude, on an upwards career path trajectory that has the drive and enthusiasm to learn and progress within this role and their finance career. You will be enthusiastic and personable with excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all level, yet still be head strong and get your point across in an effective manner. Someone who is confident with systems and advanced excel skills is essential. You must be able to plan and prioritise your workload and work to tight deadlines.
