Interim Finance Manager

Interim Finance Manager   -    Cambridge   -  January 2017

Our client, a fast moving Cambridge business with an impressive track record of growth has a pending requirement for an interim Finance Manager to cover maternity leave.  Starting in January 2017, this role manages the day to day finance function and mentors 2 members of staff. 

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the following:

•Overseeing the month end process, managing and reviewing the work of the direct reports, overseeing preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accruals adjustment and completing the monthly financial consolidation.
•Working alongside HR, managing Company benefits, (pension, medical cover long term disability insurance etc.) and associated compliance.
•Overseeing annual audit process, including coordinating with audit team.
•Key user of Sage200 accounting system, including good understanding of management reporting capabilities & requirements.
•Significant involvement in preparation of UK and group annual financial statements.
•Key person in ensuring compliance with UK and US GAAP reporting requirements, both for monthly management accounting and annual reporting
•Responsibility for ensuring VAT and PAYE compliance
•Key role in UK and US corporate tax compliance work, and other state / city US taxation compliance work (sales use tax, business property tax etc.)
•Supporting role during budget process
