An outstanding opportunity for a top calibre, highly ambitious Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join one of Europe's leading and fastest growing Retailers based in Watford (15mins from Euston).

The company offer unrivalled opportunities on their Senior Finance Management rotation programme and Talent Management and Development is very high on the agenda! You will gain a real breadth of experience across finance and develop the skill set to be a Finance Director.

This role supports and Business Partners the Board, reporting into the Director of Commercial Finance and with excellent visibility and exposure to the CFO.
The aim of the role is to partner with the Board and provide Tactical and Strategic planning for their functions. You will provide rigorous financial management for the corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities:
-Partner with the Board and European finance and HR business partners, to provide strong financial insight guidance, supporting the Director's to make informed decisions regarding their functions for strategic and tactical planning
-Develop an understanding of business processes to help simplify and drive consistency across the group
-Develop Pan-European management information to highlight by exception the corporate performance compared to the plan
-Manage a team of three, ensuring that objectives and PDP's are part of the coaching and development plans
-Foster a learning culture, ensure a strong review process is developed to allow continuous improvement.
-Coaching and Development will be a necessity, in both finance and the wider business to ensure we recruit and grow talent to sustain European growth
-Coach and develop a finance team of three to four qualified finance managers (and wider team of analysts), strengthening the team in preparation for future expansion plans
-Support the wider finance function on the finance agenda including developing talent and improve the ways we work across the function to support our future growth
-The role will require building an effective network across the organisation

We are seeking a candidate of the highest calibre, a degree educated an ACA/CIMA qualified accountant having trained with a Big 4 Accounting/Consulting firm or in a leading FTSE 100 or equivalent corporate graduate scheme. You will have c5-10 year's post qualified experience gained in a fast paced, large matrix business including significant post qualified Commercial Finance experience managing and developing a sizeable team. You will be ambitious and on an upward career curve with aspirations of becoming a Head of Finance / Finance Director in the next 5-10 years. You will be confident, driven and have natural gravitas. You will be a strong influencer, networker and highly effective relationship builder.
