Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for an Analytical Business Analyst to join a Government organisation based in London on a 6 month interim basis. The role is to help support the organisation as they go through exciting period of change which is seeing them adapt from administrative functions to ones which are much more analytical focused.
Reporting into the programme planning & performance manager, the main responsibilities of this post will be in designing analysis and supporting analytical direction through the running of scenario modelling. Specifically looking into the organisations forecasting and expenditure you will;
*Support analytical direction
*Run and build models to improve and analyse forecasting and project expenditures as well as the way this is reported.
*Implement robust assurance processes to ensure accuracy of data
*Quality assure complex models
*Stakeholder management and articulating the results to people of all backgrounds and levels
*Conduct robust analysis to identify and highlight problems and issues faced in order to inform the executive decision making.
*Deliver excellent PMO services, especially in the areas of developing analytical models
The successful candidate will have extensive modelling experience using excel based modelling and supporting VBA applications. You will have strong statistical, data processing and analytical skills with advanced statistical methods and quantitative analysis. The ideal candidate will have exposure to capital projects and programmes as well as experience of evidence based decision making, model development for decision support. You must be inquisitive in your nature with the ability to question and support all work. This is an immediate requirement so you will be immediately available or on 1 weeks' notice.
